Role and Impact
In an ever-evolving digital world, it is crucial to keep up with the rapidly changing trends in social media. I played a key role in designing and developing "Social Media in 2022," a comprehensive, self-guided presentation for Comm Lead Consulting. This project aimed to assist clients who needed help navigating the world of social media marketing but lacked the necessary specific knowledge or focus areas.
As the lead developer, my responsibilities encompassed researching the social media landscape, curating relevant resources, synthesizing complex information, designing an engaging presentation, and constructing a flexible curriculum that future contributors can readily update.
My efforts resulted in an accessible tool that empowers clients to understand social media marketing fundamentals better, allowing them to identify their unique needs, thus enhancing their chances of successful collaborations with students in specialized work areas.

The unique value of this project lies in its multifaceted nature. Not only did it involve understanding and distilling a vast topic area (social media marketing), but it also required creating a modern, engaging, and flexible educational tool. This project required high-level research skills, the ability to synthesize complex information for a specific audience, strong design aesthetics, and a strategic approach to creating a curriculum that could evolve with the fast-paced social media landscape.

Reflection: “Developing the "Social Media in 2022" presentation was an enriching and challenging journey. I was required to wear multiple hats: researcher, content creator, designer, and educator. This project allowed me to comprehensively understand the social media landscape and apply my learnings to create an engaging and valuable resource for Comm Lead Consulting clients. Presenting this at the UW Comm Lead Screen Summit was an enriching experience, highlighting the importance of effective and informed communication in our digital age.
