Who I Am

Hello! I’m Antonio Herrera Garza, a dedicated storyteller, community builder, and believer in collaboration, empathy, and innovation. As a proud queer Latino immigrant, my life’s mission is to advocate for social justice and dismantle systemic barriers.

With a background in non-profit HIV health, education, and fundraising, I’ve spent years in local government focusing on digital communications, equity, and community engagement. These experiences have shaped my unique perspective on making a difference. I’m a proud alum of the Art Institute of Atlanta and the University of Washington, holding a BFA in Media Arts & Animation and a Master of Communications in Communities and Networks.

I see communication as the backbone of any successful operation. It informs strategy, decision-making, and the development of impactful relationships. Fluent in Spanish and English, I apply my diverse expertise in bilingual content creation, writing, and communications strategy to every project I undertake.

My mission is threefold:

  • Craft stories that challenge traditional narratives, fostering a more inclusive and prosperous worldview.

  • Encourage diverse thinking to spark new possibilities and innovation.

  • Lead heart-centered transformations, inspiring positive change in our communities.

Curiosity, humility, and a relentless pursuit of excellence guide me in all my endeavors. I embrace risk, view failures as learning opportunities, and constantly seek innovative approaches.

My leadership style centers on the power of communication to build trust, inspire action, and drive change. I aim to create a team environment where everyone can contribute significantly by deeply listening to others, fostering inclusivity, and empowering individuals.

Whether you seek a community builder to engage and mobilize, a storyteller to connect your values to your audience, or a communications leader to inspire your team to realize their full potential, I’m ready to collaborate. Let’s work together to create impactful content and movements that promote anti-racism, challenge Latino anti-Blackness, and lead us toward a more inclusive and equitable society.
